With so much interest in how social networks work, one begins to wonder if you have advertising potential within these social networks?

I’ve been seeing social media for some time now. In fact I’m an associate of various social network internet sites including https://www.linkedin.com and http://www.myspace.com/ just to name two.

I joined partly because I wanted to see what they were, but more importantly to see on SEM what impact social networking could have in the coming years.

I’ve been an associate of numerous services for some time and the reach these sites have is incredible.

As an example, from my LinkedIn network of seven people I’ve an extended network of over 12,600 people.

Suppose – I’m merely a click or two away from close to 13,000 other people who share my similar interests ranging from what I like to watch o-n TV to work I can give to them.

Through my connections and their connections, I am related to people ranging from the American Cancer Society, to Sun Microsystems to the University of Texas to Google.

But what advertising opportunities are there for Social Network?

Well, let us look at MySpace.

MySpace is one of the prime sites on the Web today. I-t racked up 9.4 thousand page-views in August 2005 (greater than Google) and new users are signing up in a mind-boggling rate of 3.5 million per month.

MySpace is typical of where todays 18-30 year old visits manage their electronic life. It allows people to post photographs of themselves and their friends, develop a weblog, record a common artists, view and share videos, suggest things to do and lists some people they consider friends. It’s on this ‘Friends List’ where the majority of the possibilities lie.

All forty million plus users of MySpace have a friends page that lists people that person considers their friend. This is a set of people that they are interested in reading from on a regular basis, as well as speaking with and about. Going To https://www.facebook.com/zararealty perhaps provides suggestions you might use with your co-worker. After you put somebody as your friend they can send you messages, discuss your photos, read your sites, in addition to leave messages that you can then give the others. This is a chance for quick feedback about you.

The ability to include friends to your page is key for advertising to MySpace people. Based on Courtney Holt, mind of new media and strategic marketing at Interscope Records, ‘This technology is growing up with out ever viewed programmed media. ‘They do not think in terms of-the record, and they don’t think in terms of the TV schedule. They think when it comes to TiVo, P2P, AOL, and of course MySpace.

You can observe how this might develop.

Let’s say you develop a MySpace account to fairly share your product or service. You blog about this and look for others that could share your interests.

Afterward you invite them to be your friend. Once they turn into a friend you start your ‘comfortable sell’ pitching your solution in their mind.

They begin blogging and sharing it, as they grow to appreciate it. Soon hundreds or even thousand of people are talking about you and your product or service. Be taught supplementary information on this affiliated link – Browse this web page: http://www.houzz.com/pro/zararealty/zara-realty.

Don’t think this will work?

I would like to give a few examples to you. There are numerous groups who have gotten their start on MySpace. By just hosting a number of their music on line and blogging about themselves they created a following. Soon they’d report deals and contracts lined up.

Of course to use services like MySpace you-need to get some thing this target audience needs. If you don’t then you probably should not put too much effort in to MySpace.

But that does not mean other social-networking opportunities ought to be ignored. When I stated earlier, LinkedIn is more of a professional introduction service. If your product or service meets here then by all means investigate it further.

And you’ll find others also. Companies for example Yahoo!s MyWeb, Flickr, http://del.icio.us and more.

So if you have ever wondered what other online possibilities may be around, con-sider social network. It may be the next great website marketing channel..
